                                IT IS TIME TO PLAN!
Time is one of your greatest assets.  How you spend it affects every aspect of your life.  Ten minutes of wasted time equals approximately 3.8 days in one year; one hour wasted equals 22.81 days of your year, and two hours equals 45.62 days lost.  Good planning includes work and leisure, family time and personal time. Have you planned your time for today?  Proverbs 6:6-9 (NIV) "Consider [the ant]... it has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest."

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!

We sow seeds every day we live. You never know which seed is going to produce the greatest harvest.  Show concern, kindness, and gentleness to everyone.  Love God completely, and love your neighbor as yourself.  Only God knows how much harvest can be gained through one seed.

CONTENTMENT IS LEARNED PHILIPPIANS 4:11-13 Paul writes "...I have learned to be  content whatever the circumstances..."  Our life message gradually builds as we gain and lose possessions, positions, friendships and loved ones. When we learn to trust God in the middle of each life experience, our lives become more focused and less chaotic. Contentment comes as we mature and realize that there is a greater purpose in life than pleasure.  Life lessons teach us that possessions are not nearly as important as we once thought they were. That new car or gadget that we once loved becomes tomorrow's trash. Contentment comes when we learn to accept the challenges of our current circumstances, seek God for His guidance and trust God to be with us through each experience.

NEGATIVE CYCLES CAN BE BROKEN!

Many addictions and negative cycles in our lives are caused by false beliefs.  We gather these false beliefs from childhood experiences, from television, from family patterns, and from society in general. The Word of God can establish a foundation of truth that can negate these false beliefs.  As we work through the warped beliefs that hold us in bondage and replace the lies with the truth, we will see the cycles that hold us prisoners begin to fade.  Seek to discover false beliefs that hold you prisoner, and let God set you free.

WHERE THERE IS LIFE THERE IS HOPE!

You may feel your productive years fading as you age. Depression may lurk at your door as you consider wasted years.  SIT UP and LISTEN! As long as there is life "IT AIN'T OVER!"  Eccl. 9:4 says "Anyone who is among the living has hope... even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!"  The secret to success is purpose and perseverance.  If God gives you life, He also has purpose in it.  Seek God's purpose for your life.  God will lead you.  Follow.  (Eccl. 9:4)

LOUSY ROTTEN ATTITUDE! (LRA)

Ever had one of those days that your attitude was so rotten that you didn't want to talk to anyone for fear of blowing your Christian testimony? There is a secret for overcoming these moods.  Pray!  Re-focus!  Cry out "God help me!" or "Create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit," Ps 51:10. These words remind us where our help comes from.  In Ps 129:8, David reminds us that our  "help comes from the Lord,"  God can deliver us from our LRA if we turn to Him for strength.

WHOM SHALL I FEAR?

The LORD is my light and my salvation---whom shall I fear?  The LORD is the stronghold of my life---of whom shall I be afraid? Ps 27:1

Whether you memorize Bible verses or scripture songs, don't neglect to plant the Word of God in your heart.  These words can build courage when you face an unexpected trial.  God's Word can push back the fear and darkness in time of danger.  Pray God's Word, speak God's Word, and proclaim God's word! He is an ever present help in time of need.

REST FOR THE WEARY

When the cares of the world press in on you and you feel you don't have the strength to continue on, stop a few minutes and talk to God.  There is no problem too great or too complex that God cannot bring a solution. Rest comes when we become as a little child and trust God.  Your answer begins with a decision to ask God for help, but it is completed by the power of the Almighty Creator who is touched by your pain and stress.  He cares.  Talk to Him.
